Aspinwall House

Location: Brookline, MA

Status: Permitting

Team: (Architect) HEXi

Complementing the historic context of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Aspinwall Hill, the site design pays homage to Olmsted’s design characteristics while creating functional spaces for the established family. The landscape focuses on crafting outdoor environments that connect seamlessly to the interior spaces. Planting is used strategically to carve out nooks and create experiential moments throughout the site.

The palette utilizes native planting and mature trees to evoke a historic Brookline feel, employing natural materials like granite to ground the design. This approach integrates the site into its surroundings while using the landscape as a medium to define the residential experience.
